# Components:
→ Brownies
01 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter
02 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
03 - 2 large eggs
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
05 - 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
06 - 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
07 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
→ Decoration
08 - 3.5 oz white chocolate, melted
09 - Green gel food coloring
10 - 12 strawberries, hulled, washed, and dried
11 - Assorted sprinkles and/or edible stars
12 - 12 small marshmallows (optional)
# Method:
01 - Set the oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
02 - Melt the butter in a saucepan or microwave and allow it to cool slightly.
03 - Whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar in a bowl. Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
04 - Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
05 - Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until set but still fudgy. Allow to cool completely in the pan.
06 - Once cooled, divide the brownies into 12 equal squares.
07 - Tint the melted white chocolate with green gel food coloring in a small bowl.
08 - If desired, place one marshmallow on each brownie square, then top each with a strawberry, pointed end upwards.
09 - Spoon or pipe the green-tinted white chocolate over each strawberry to mimic a Christmas tree shape. Immediately decorate with sprinkles or edible stars.
10 - Let the frosting set at room temperature for 10 minutes, or refrigerate briefly until firm.
