02 - 1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey), casing removed
03 - 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

06 - 1 cup whole milk
07 - 6 large eggs
08 - 1 tsp salt
09 - ½ tsp black pepper
10 - ½ tsp garlic powder
11 - ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)

# Method:
01 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil or melted butter.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and crumbly, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
03 - In a large bowl, mix thawed hash browns, cooked sausage, diced red bell pepper, diced green onions, and 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.
04 - In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, whole milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until fully blended.
05 - Pour egg mixture over hash brown mixture and stir thoroughly to coat evenly.
06 - Spread the combined mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle remaining ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese on top.
07 - Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
